Update.

I know, it has been ages since I have written many things personal on what I have been doing with my life. For those of you that care, here is what you need to know:

  1. I have fallen pretty damn hard for Ascot at this point, and I believe (or at least hope) he feels the same.
  2. I have moved from London to Split to work for a pub crawl there for the summer. (no idea where this puts me ans Ascot, as we haven’t really discussed “us”. we talk every day and I think its more of a dont ask/dont tell sorta thing)
  3. However, I am currently in Sarajevo, Bosnia for 1-2 weeks helping our company get a new pub crawl up and running - all expenses paid!

Thats about all the important stuff. More details on all three of these things to come  :)

Family visit.
Ascot: Im getting like a thousand questions about you at the moment. I'm saying all good things :)
Me: (25 min later) Aw, what are they asking?
Ascot: All sorts lol, still are. My other cousin has just got here so is asking the same questions! They say that I seem happier, especially when I talk about you :) lol
Me: Aw, I have the biggest smile on my face right now. Are you enjoying family time?
Ascot: Yeah its good, first time we have gotten this many people together in ages. Wish you were here so I could show you off to them.
Me: Haha thats a bit intimidating, lets stick with just the parents first, shall we?

Parents night out.

I’m home tonight taking care of the little sister.

Having a big night out at a warehouse rave tomorrow so best I save my energy.

As step-dad leaves: “Left a treat for you on the dresser for when your sister goes to bed.”

Nice line of……party favors ;)

I win.

I still remember the first day I met you.

It was mid afternoon on a Wednesday in Old Town Square, Prague.

You were walking through with your brother and his friends on the way back to your hostel, which turned out to be the hostel affiliated with our crawl.

My co-worker and I spotted you, immediately knew you guys were English, and would be perfect candidates to convince to come on our pub crawl that night.

We found out, after speaking with you guys for a few minutes that it was a couple of the guys birthdays that weekend (including your brothers) and that’s why you guys were all in Prague.

I remember your brother asking me who I thought was his brother and immediately guessed you, even though you two don’t actually look that much alike. In all actuality, I really wasn’t sure, but I thought you were cute right off the back and wanted a reason to talk to you. Plus, you were wearing a Chelsea FC hoodie. Major points!

In the end, you all agreed to come on the crawl, and did so for three nights in a row, and came drinking with us on the Sunday we didn’t work.

I’m really glad we spotted you guys in the square that day :)

would love that.
Ascot: What day do you go to Split hun? x
Me: May 28th. Why?
Ascot: I'll have to come see you before you go :) x
Me: You definitely do. It's your turn ;)
Ascot: & maybe have a weekend in Split if I can! x

Its been a really long time since Ive felt this way about someone.

But don’t you worry.
That all changes tomorrow night…

I got an invite from Ascot the other day to come visit him tomorrow night and I excepted. Freaking out so much about it!
We will have the house to ourselves and so I know that means that we both sort of expect to have sex. I hate having that pressure on me! Would much rather have it be spontaneous and unexpected.
Plus, pretty much 90% of our conversations have been through text message since we first met in Prague. So nervous to actually have to speak to him, one and one, face to face. No time to think about what to say before I say it.
Holy hell, I am going to need to drink as soon as I get there!

For those of you like me that DON’T speak Croatian, that means…

“IT’S OFFICIAL!”

Let my next great adventure begin!

I have been talking about it for awhile now, but I have made the final decision today to move to Split, Croatia at the end of May this year. I put the first step of my plan into action by purchasing my one-flight there from London all of about 2 hours ago.

Ever since I received my confirmation email with my itinerary and boarding pass, I have just been buzzing and grinning ear to ear. (Thank you easyJet!)

It has been close to a year since I have stepped foot on a beach, let alone seen one in person, and coming from a girl who grew up in California, it feels like decades!

For those of you that don’t know much (or anything) about Croatia, let alone Split, here is the jist:

  • Croatia is a Medditeranian country, surrounded by Bosnia, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, and across from Italy.
  • Split is the second largest city in Croatia, located on the Eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea.
  • It is referred to by it’s residents as ”The sportiest city in the world.”
  • Funnily enough, Los Angeles is regarded as one of Split’s “sister cities.”
  • From Split, there is easy access to fellow Croatian cities such as Dubrovnik, Hvar, Solta, and Brac.
  • In the summer time it is bustling with travelers and backpackers from all over the world that I certainly cant wait to meet!
“Why Croatia?” you might ask…
Well the idea came about, because two of my friends from Prague will be moving there mid-May to work for another friends pub crawl that runs throughout the summer. One of them mentioned to me that they would be looking for people that have experience doing that sort of thing (which I do, from living in Prague), and it just set a plan in motion.
I mean, who wouldn’t want to live here?
Split, Croatia
Plus, my visa is close to running up in a couple months in London anyways, and I would like to try somewhere new, unknown, and exciting…

After some extensive research on flights, things to do, visa regulations, etc, I made the officially decision to take the plunge and make a move.
Headed to Split on May 28th!
I will be moving into a flat with my two friends from Prague (one’s Czech & one’s Aussie), which has already been sorted out by our future boss.
Starting work on June 1st for the pub crawl and so looking forward to it! It was really nice having a few months away from all the crazy drinking and partying, but working for a pub crawl is really one of the funnest jobs that you can have during the summer. Favorite part being that you get to meet amazing, fun, like-minded young travelers making their way through Europe. I can’t tell you how many connections I made and friends that I have around the world, just from working on the crawl in Prague last summer!
Now it is just a matter of getting in better shape and some color on my skin before I get there…I don’t think I have ever been this pale in my life.
Soooo….HERE GOES NOTHING!
Wish me luck :)

I miss having regular sex…

new post from my travel blog that you should follow :)

When it comes to my life, bouncing from place to place, this is all that is necessary.
Living the good life isn’t about working a job that pays a ridiculous amount of money. It’s not about having a massive house or eating at fancy restaurants every night. When you are lying on your death bed, you wont look back fondly on the late night hours you spent killing yourself at the office in a job you hate.
Its about the little things that get you by so that you can focus on the things that really make you happy…
Here are a few things things you would find on my list, in no particular order:
great friends
being on the beach
ranch dressing
exploring a new town
a delicious pina colada
any episode of FRIENDS
a good kisser
my wonderful family
australian, new zealand, and english accents
live music
anything and everything coconut
I could go on forever, but now its your turn. What would you put on your list? What truly makes you happy?
Now cut all of the rest of the bullshit out of your life, and focus on those things!

For the last few weeks here in London, the thought of “So, what’s next?” has been crossing my mind quite a bit lately. It comes as no surprise, since I have been here for about 3 months now, and it is usually around this time that I start weighing my options of what to do and where to go…
